Dive into a one-of-a-kind experience that blends hiking, conservation, and art in the Eastern Hills of Bogotá. Join Labni Tours in rejuvenating nature, documenting biodiversity, and nurturing ecosystems through citizen science. As part of this immersive adventure, you'll use trail cameras from the NIDO project, your mobile device, and the iNaturalist app to capture wildlife activity and gather valuable data for monitoring local fauna. You’ll also participate in a hands-on cyanotype workshop, creating sun prints with local leaves, petals, stems, and your own hands—reconnecting with nature through art, memory, and play. Trip Highlights

  • This activity is near to Bogotá downtown and La Candelaria, only half an hour by car.
  • Weather could be very changeable. Sunny, rainy, warm and cold. Be prepared.
  • Pack extra clothes and shoes – it might rain.

Itinerary

  • This is the plan:

    1:00 p.m. – Meeting point: OXXO next to the Luis Ángel Arango Library (Calle 11 and Carrera 4).

    Arrival at Labni Foundation premises at 2:00 p.m.

    A hands-on cyanotype workshop where participants create sun prints using local leaves, petals, stems, and their own hands — reconnecting with nature through art, memory, and play. 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    Hiking and monitoring of trail cameras and NIDO cameras from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

    Snack - good bye cocktail 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    Departure from Labni Foundation premises at 6:00 p.m.

    6:30 p.m.. – Return to meeting point: OXXO next to the Luis Ángel Arango Library (Calle 11 and Carrera 4).
