Stories of Impact: Our Traveler Testimonials
Labni tours designed an seven-day voluntourism experience for me. I worked with children and women in the community supporting them to appreciate natural heritage. One of the projects I had the opportunity to work on was taking tree cuttings and propagating them to help plant species that are going extinct.
I´m from Wisconsin, in the US.
My tour was Ultimate Voluntourism in Bogotá
Birding in Bogotá with Labni was amazing! Their plot was a nice spot to see a variety of bird species. Labni’s expertise made it unforgettable, connecting us with Colombia’s avian treasures and delicious food. We saw and heard at least sixteen bird species: Anisognathus Igniventris, Eriocnemis Vestita, Colaptes Rivolii, Diglossa Cyanea, among others. Hope to come back soon.

We hiked to La Chorrera, ¡¡ it was a blast ¡¡, got our hands dirty planting trees, and helped out in the greenhouse. It showed me just how amazing sustainable travel can be.
Labni’s commitment to the environment and local communities is truly inspiring.
I´m from Germany. My tour was Trees & La Chorrera
Visiting the Labni Foundation was an incredible experience for my friends and me. Guided by Hugo, we installed trail cameras to monitor biodiversity and took part in tree planting. Contributing to conservation while enjoying nature made it all the more rewarding. This trip not only deepened our friendship but also inspired us to champion environmental efforts back home.

The tour and hike to La Chorrera? It was amazing! Learning about nature and planting a tree – that was the best part.
I’m so thankful for this meaningful journey and the positive impact it had on me and the world around us.
Plus, it’s just a quick half-hour from downtown Bogotá!
I´m German and my tour was: Trees & La Chorrera
Visiting the Labni Foundation was an incredible experience for my friends and me. We focused on tree planting in the páramo forest, a vital ecosystem that regulates water supply. Planting native trees and installing trail cameras to monitor biodiversity was rewarding. This trip strengthened our friendship and motivated us to support environmental initiatives back home.

“I spent a weekend at Labni Foundation, where Hugo taught me a lot about nature and species. We visited Parque Aventura La Chorrera for a beautiful hike to see the impressive Chorrera waterfall. The hike was not too difficult (2/3 hours), and we finished at the restaurant for lunch. I recommend it to anyone interested in exploring more about Colombia’s environment and local culture.
